Spring Florals: Riso & Watercolor

Spring is right around the corner and we dream about all things ink, petals, and print.
Join us for a two-part Watercolor & Riso course where florals move from brush to press, led by watercolor artist Ludi Leiva and riso printer Roby Redgrave.

This is a fully hands-on analogue workshop, where you will play and experiment with form, color and water. No computer or previous experience of either watercolor or risoprinting is necessary.

SESSION 1: Explore watercolor painting with artist Ludi Leiva. Inspired by spring florals, you will create a series of A5 artworks and select two pieces to scan for Risograph printing.

SESSION 2: Learn the fundamentals of Risograph printing and colour layering. Take part in a hands-on demo by collaboratively creating a two-colour watercolor zine, then print your own A5 watercolor mini-prints.

The course is held in English.

Våren är runt hörnet och vi drömmer om alla färger och blommor som snart slår ut.
Följ med oss på en tvådelad akvarell- och riso-kurs där blommorna går från pensel till tryckpress, under ledning av akvarellkonstnären Ludi Leiva och risotryckaren Roby Redgrave.

Detta är en helt analog kurs där du får möjlighet att leka och experimentera med färg och form. Ingen dator eller tidigare erfarenhet av vare sig akvarell eller risotryck krävs.

DEL 1: Utforska akvarellmålning med konstnären Ludi Leiva. Inspirerad av vårblommor skapar du en serie konstverk i format A5 och väljer sedan ut två verk som skannas för risograftryck.

DEL 2: Lär dig grunderna i risograftryck och färglager. Delta i en praktisk demonstration genom att tillsammans skapa ett litet blomsterzine och tryck sedan dina egna minitryck.

Kursen hålls på engelska.

Ludi Leiva is a visual artist working in drawing, painting, and printmaking, particularly monotype. Her practice explores themes of ecology, memory, and diaspora through contemplative, atmospheric works that blend figuration and abstraction. Originally from Canada with Guatemalan and Slovak roots, and based in Stockholm since 2021, Ludi has trained at The Royal Drawing School and holds an MFA from Konstfack. She has exhibited internationally and her work has been recognised with grants from Konstnärsnämnden and Stockholm Stad. Ludi also works commercially as an illustrator and muralist, with clients like The Guardian, Apple, and The Smithsonian.
